Student Single Sign-On (SSO) Access to Tallo Through Canvas (Stride Schools Only)

This walkthrough provides educators with the steps students will complete the first time they access Tallo using their school's Single Sign-On (SSO) through Canvas.

Students log in to Canvas using their Classlink username and password.

Once logged in, they will arrive at their Canvas home page.

Open the Resource Tab

From the Canvas home page, students select the Resources tab located on the left-hand navigation menu.

Launch Tallo

Students click the Tallo resource.

This launches Tallo using the school's Single Sign-On (SSO), eliminating the need to create a separate school username and password.

Verify Age

On their first visit, students will be asked to confirm that they are 13 years of age or older.

This is required to comply with platform eligibility requirements.

Enter a Primary Email Address

Students will enter their primary email address.

If the email is already associated with an existing Tallo account, Tallo will prompt the student to merge their existing account with their school SSO.

Once merged, students can access the same Tallo account either by:

Logging in through their school's Canvas/ClassLink SSO, or

Using their personal email address and password.

Complete Initial Profile Information

Students will then complete the initial account setup, including:

School Name from a Drop Down List

Graduation year

Current location

Career Interests

This information helps personalize the students’ Tallo experience and connect them with relevant opportunities.

Begin Using Tallo

Once onboarding is complete, students are taken directly into their Tallo account.

They can begin building their profile, exploring careers, completing assigned activities, and engaging with educational and workforce opportunities.
